Yggdrasil

“Yggdrasil” by Sarah Lawless

Drawn on recycled tea-stained paper with archival inks and water soluble coloured pencils.

The ancestors watch from the stars above while the world turns and the sun and the moon practice their eternal dance between light and dark creating the threshold times for magic. The serpent rests in the roots of the great world tree in the underworld, there since the beginning of time. Yggdrassil contains a web connecting all, it is a doorway, a cosmology.
